About Superior Automotive Bothell
A Piece of Washington History
Superior Automotive was established in 1946 in downtown Bellevue WA by Frank McDonough. It was run as McDonough Motorworks for nearly 50 years and was one of the first auto repair shops in Bellevue to work on VW and other European vehicles in addition to domestic brands. In 1990, Frank’s grandson Alan McDonough, took over the family business and reopened the doors as Superior Automotive and Marine. With over 40 years’ experience in the automotive industry Alan is a master mechanic and is skilled in the general maintenance, major repair and complete restoration of foreign and domestic vehicles. From routine maintenance like brakes, tune-ups and timing belts to a complete overhaul of your classic or vintage vehicle, Superior Automotive will provide quality service at a very reasonable price. Superior Automotive also provides mobile marine services.
